I have 2 12" L5's and i was wondering if the L7 is worth the extra cash because they cost around 100 bucks more. for 1mm more. also i know the steel is different. they accept more wattage but has has anyone compared 1 or 2 l5's with a l7 beside it. was it worth almost twice the cash????

 

There was a discussion on this previously. The consensus was that it is not worth the upgrade if you already have l5's.

 

well, because i'm thinking about upgrading to 2 15's. also my cousin is thinking about getting 2 15's for his tahoe.

 

Then that is a different story

i was reading the spec's and i believe the l7 is 1MM bigger than the l5

 

It has one 1mm more linear xmax. That is the amount that the sub can move without distortion, in a nutshell.

 

y arent u going to upgrade to something different?

 

if i upgrade to 15's their gonna be solobarics. but if their 12's their gonna be w6v2.

 

or i might try out 1 brahma, my amp is at 989 watts rms....so it should do something.
