Does anyone have a straight back exhaust on their CRX? such as the 5zigen, etc? I'm worried about ground clearance, expecially since my car is lowered.

 

I have the 5 Zigen fireball exhaust, but I have it coming out the same side it does stock, my CRX is lowered also, and if you put it out the other side there is not much ground clearance at all, so I had it piped out the other side..

i have fit a Tanabe racing, the local shop modified and get it as much angle as possible.

 

Hey EVO, what do you mean they modified it to get more angle? is it angled up? or out the normal side?

Ok, here this should work...... and yes it is loud and does get anoying after a while....

I was told today by a dealer that the fireball "axleback" came out the right side in the stock location. is this not true?

 

hey, what did you use to cut out your bumper? I'm probably going to do the same thing, but i don't want that sawed apart look.

It's kind of dark but I didn't cut anything out, and it's still that far away from the ground. Just a small universal muffler...and I now have more clearance than I did with my old exhaust. I used to hit that coming down off of driveways unless I went at a big angle. This is a great improvement.

The cut was made with a dremel tool, it cut it perfectly and it was easy.....

The exhaust was a custom job both times....Its a Focuz universal muffler.... and i have seen places selling the fireball ax;e back but not sure if it comes straight out the side or goes across and out the stock side........
