civic sits unlevel...
my car is lowered with neuspeed sports and the front wheel well gaps are 3/8" different. The passenger side is 3/8" higher than the driver's. Yesterday i took the springs and swapped sides, thinking that with there being someone always in the drivers seat that might drop it a little more. After swapping there was no difference (pass. was still higher). Now my question is, do allignment shops sometimes bend your arms or forks to get the right angle of camber? If so, would this cause my car to sit unlevel. btw...my car has no camber kit, but wheels are straight up and down. Thanks! Also, if you can refer me to posts on this it would help...searched and came up with nothing.
the driver side is usually lower than the passenger side........ happened to my car, 1 of of friends car and someone that i heard tell me the same thing
this is only when installing springs... coilovers you can sit there for hours w/ patience and fix that problem

Unfornutely many people have this problem. I lowered my car the same all around and one side was higher than the other. Luckily, I had coilovers to evenly adjust the height. This has been covered before, and many people have the same problem, so you are not the only one. I don't think camber is what causes this uneven balance, but I could be mistaken.
I have a set of Tom's sleeve coil-overs, madepretty much just like ground controls,(bushings and o-rings), should I just put these on and call it good? Thanks for the replies!
I heard that because the tranny sits on the right side of the car that it lowers it in the front. Maybe it's just bs, but not a bad thought.

I have the same problem. My drivers side rear wheel has like barely 2 fingers gap (Eibach Pro-Kit) while the passenger rear wheel has almost 3 1/2 fingers gap.
It's really annoying!

3/8" difference is a lot....
you may want to check the condition of the bushings, if the drivers side is worn or torn it will sag more. Make sure the shock is slipped all the way into the fork. You may have a bent lca or shock/forks.
alignment shops shouldn't bend anything.

the driver's side is sitting about where it needs to be with my drop, but the passenger side looks just a LITTLE lower than stock. Is ther a chance that I just got the one in a million civic that just sits wrong?
this happened to me on my crx... neuspeed race and koni yellows... my passenger rear was 1/4" higher than the driver side rear... i replaced bushings, switched the springs, and countless amounts of tinkering with the rear suspension but to no avail... my teacher told me that this is common in unibodies... he said the unibody seems to tweak a little over a period of time... the only way i know of to really fix it is to use coilovers
maybe you jus fucked up on the install.
did you leave anything out or put it back in? like the rubber mount on the shock tower mounts or pillow mounts.
i think that what its called. anyways check your install. btw my passenger side sits about 1/16 higher with the coilovers
matched in height.

Try measuring from a point that cannot be moved like the jacking points behind the wheel. Maby sometime in the cars life the fender was removed or adjusted. Your stuff could be deadon and you fenders are just deceiving you.
Also I had this happen to me once. Make sure the shocks are fully seated in the "forks" sometimes theres a little bit of play.

i too have had the same problem, with the same springs on agx's. i recently swapped out the springs for ground controls so i could make it all even. good luck
I lowered mine with Eibachs and it did the same thing.
I then proceded to install the FULL ES bushing kit and now the car sits dead even.
go fig.

yep don't heat your springs up thats a BIG TIME BAD IDEA! Civic's have really weak lower control arms, have you had your cars allinment checked? I had the same problem after i lowerd my civic, when i took it to the shop to figure out what was wrong i found out my front driver side lower control arm was bent, the mechanic(a close friend of mine) told me civic's LCA's can bend with the slightest curb check, and when i thought back i could only remeber that I rubbed, a curb while pulling up to a gas station one day. Just enough to scuff the rim.

I've never heard of Civic LCA's to be weak?? Weak compared to what??
From what I've heard its easier to take a hard bump and "crease" up the strut tower thant to bend the LCAs.....the uneveness is just part of being a univbody as some one said.......also bushings are into play, there are just too many factors in the equation.....
Check your bushings on the front upper arms and the front LCA's...also make sure the spring is seated in the strut mount correctly...

mine sits just about identical to 96 SOHC VTEC's....thanks for the pic! I think I'm just gonna put on the coil-overs and call it good!
