Default Specs for Spoon motor?

Hey..does anyone know the spec(s) for the B16 and B18 spoon motor? I heard spoon b16 is stroked to 1.8 liter and b18 is stroked to 2.0 liter..is that correct?

REally...i didn't know that...if this is confirmed...then that's pretty cool, I was planning on getting a bunch of stuff from spoon anyway...among my other plans was to start out with a new engine (meaning the miles on the car don't matter eh?)...may as well get it from spoon then...if it's true..

Spoon has a b16b that's been stroked to 1.8L and a b18c stroked to 2.0L. I'm not sure whether they still carry these motors tho as I've heard they've limited the types of crate motors they sell now. These things aren't cheap...you're looking at around $6000 just for the motor...you'll still need a tranny, ecu, shift linkages, axles, intake and exhaust manifolds, throttle body and tps sensor, distributor, etc. This is just the longblock. They're fitted with the Spoon stroker kit and some of their internals. How many Spoon parts are in the motor depends on which motor you buy, but again, Spoon might not be offerring now all the motors that they used to. One thing to be careful about is the rod/stroke ratio when stroking a motor. I'm not sure what it becomes with the Spoon stroker kits in there, but it might throw them outta whack. If that's the case, these motors would be better for track use than every day driving. I used to know someone that had a stroked Spoon 2.0L B18C, all Spoon internals, Spoon ECU, Spoon LSD+gear kit+final drive, and some other stuff and it was fast!...but I dunno how long his car lasted. I lost touch with him shortly after.

I think the Spoon ECU's redline is set at 9000rpm for the B18C 2.0L program (9100rpm redline for the B18B). I need to check my Spoon catalog to be sure. The Spoon ECU's not cheap either tho...just like their motors and other stuff...nice quality stuff, but $1300 for an ECU...eek!...you could get a fully programmable Hondata w/ programmer and datalogger for less than that!

Geez!!...modacar's EXPENSIVE!! Spoon motors have never been cheap, but that's just outrageous! If you knew how much they are dealer cost, you'd be pissed to know how much modacar's making off one of those motors!
