Default Need help quick Integra people

I have a '92 Integra LS and my brake peddle has been going to the floor slowly every time i stop. So i checked the master cylinder and no external leaks. And today we changed the brake fluid which made it better for like 5 minutes. so i know i need a new master cylinder. My Question: can i get a Type R or GSR master cylinder or some other one that will improve my braking power or do none other ones fit? And what about the 2g GSR master cylinder? Is it different? Thanks guys.

I'm not sure, but...

2G is probably most certainly different from 3G, they're a completely different chassis and car. Brakes are the MOST IMPORTANT thing in your car. Just get a proper OEM part. Preferably new. If you can't stop you die.

increase braking power with high quality pads and rotors not with the master cylinder...

I appreciate the feedback, but i'm not sure if i agree with the comment about the master cylinder not making brakes more powerful. I know rotors and pads do the most but still a bigger master cylinder should surely make a difference!?

A larger-diameter master cylinder might make your brakes FEEL less powerful. It decreases the mechanical advantage, kinda like a short-shifter. The pedal will feel more solid, but you'll have to press harder to get the same braking force. If you have the muscle in your leg, it's not going to change the actual braking power. Unless you have to push so hard you break the pedal...
