Default Cracked new T3/T4

has anyone ever had a t3/T4 crack after about 10-30 min. of use the manifold and everything eles is fine but some brass is in the oil but not in the head of the B16 but the turbo does not spin at all. The turbo cracked right on the casting line does this happen often if not what might have caused this.

Thanks

Doug

i've seen it when you do not properly get oil to the turbo. your supposed to crank the motor for like 10 minutes in 2.5 minute incimintals. If you do not the turbo will not last long and burn the bearings really fast, then a little bit later it locks up and cracks form overheating.

Also if you do not propelry hook up the oil feed line, it will cause this kind of oil starved issue.

Good luck. There sia hance it was not install error, but highly unlikley. Who knows you might get it repalced under warranty..

i cranked the car over two times before i started it to get oil in the turbo and i ran the car two different times for 4 to 5 min at a time to get oil in the turbo. i have put garrett turbos on FSAE race cars and never had a problem before.

oik well then this jsut might be one of those very weird cases. Well maybe you'll get lucky and they won;t give you crap about replacing it. (they means place you got it from)
