Default ZC pistons in D15B7? Just making sure

I'm almost positive they will fit with no boring or any other major mods, but I am just wanting to make sure that they will.

yes they will fit, they share the same 75mm bore.

I've discussed this before.

if you want to put d16 pistons in a NON VTEC d15, you better make sure you get rods from the VX 1.5 vtec-e motor or the jdm sohc vtec d15b. If you use the non vtec rods, the piston will sit down in the hole about 3mm too short due to piston/deck height differences and rod length differences. thus a waste of time and a loss of compression.

yes it will fit, suppose to yield higher comp ratio too

read above, they will sit too low in the hole.

hes not putting vtec pistons in his b7, hes putting zc pistons in his b7. why does the vtec rods matter ? well my friend put zc pistons in his b7 and it was faster, but i guess it was something else that made him faster after he put those pistons in

because the d15 and d16 pistons have different heights. a d16 rod is longer then a d15 rod by about 3 mm. when u put the d16 piston on the shorter non vtec d15 rod, the piston sits lower in the hole.

did i say anything about vtec pistons? i said vtec rods. the vtec d15 rods are different then other 1.5 non vtec rods. you could say they are similar to a 1.6 rod in nature. they keep the piston up in the hole where i should be, so it doesnt sit too low in the hole. sure u may see a lil gain. but, not worth the trouble if the piston is gonna sit too low. i bet your friends car would be faster with proper rods.

If you were to be using a regular d16 piston on your d15 rods, your compression would be around 8.6 but since you are looking to use zc pistons, which are domed, you would raise your c/r to 10.71.

I already answered that question, a1/p29 would give you 10.71 on b7 rods.

Nice. Yeah, I didn't want to use the D15 rods, I've always heard about problems with heat dissipation, and I wanted the ZC rods for more strength because I am planning on running boost. Oh well, it was worth the try. But they will fit fine in an A6? (PM7 pistons/rods)
