I was just thinking of tinting my rear hatchwindow only but would it look wack?
Wut % is nice on a Red EK all around

 

35% is not super dark, but enough to keep you from getting a sunburn.

 

lighter like say no darker than 50% that way you will allso be able to use your rear window at night

 

I've got 35% on the back and see perfectly out of the back, 50% is like "do I even have tint?"

 

I have 15%, illegal in GA, but it looks good. The 35% looks okay from a distance, but up close I don't really like it. I feel like 35% is "do I even have tint?"


edit: I suppose if you want to tint just the back window 35% would be okay, all around I would check with your local limits, and get it as dark as possible

It's illegal just about everywhere, but I've never been harassed because of it.

 

I have 5% all the way around on my coupe. VERY ILLEGAL. But looks good and people cant look inside to see what is in there. (unless they have a spotlight)

 

I went to a place to get an estimate on my four door the other day, and he said that to be safe at night so you can still see, is around 20%. But anything more than stock on the front windows is illegal in NY anyway, so i'll probably go 20% all around and the cops arent really bad if its just black tint, they tend to bitch about the mirror and the colored ****.

 

i have 5% on my back 3 windows so no one can see in my hatch. but i also did this when i had a good $2,500 set up back there BEFORE it got stolen. so the tint doesnt really matter

 

20% all round, close enough to legal to not tell yet dark enough to be tight

 

Check the new SCC...has the limits on how dark you can go with tint!

 

i had 20% all around on my silver coupe. the contrast of dark windows/light car looked awesome, and it was dark enough so at night it was black, daytime it was a dark gray. then i got 2 tickets in 2 weeks for it, so i took off the fronts and just have the rears at 20%. it still helps keep the sun out, and i can see perfectly at night.

 

back and sides are 5% and the roll downs are 15%

i have 35% on my four door all the way around. if youre going to tint, tint all the windows the same. i think it looks kinda stupid when people only tint the back window or whatever.. imo

 

I have 30% all around on my red DC2. It looks nice, not too light and not too dark.

i like white cars with black tint...

now i have a silver car tho... and wondering what kind of tint to get... just the normal black tint... or some of the mirrored-type stuff...

i've had 35, 20, 15 mirror, and 5. All look good imo, but the mirrored will get you more tickets. 5% is what I would recomend, I never had any probs with visibility at night with it, just some with "johnny law".

In GA, ALL mirror tint, no matter what %% is illegal, and cops know this, so when they see it they pull you over immeadiately

 

I haven't heard of anyone being harrassed about their tint for a long time, but cops get bored and people suffer.
