Heat from the shifter area
I feel heat from the shifter and handbrake area after driving the R around town. Sometimes it gets warm enough to make my arm sweat. Is it suppose to get hot in that area?

Considering that the Cat and exhaust in right in that area I ould think that it would get a bit warm there.
I don't have such a problem with my R but I do on my Civic. Difference being that I removed the Heat Shield on the Civic cause it was ratteling. By any change did you remove your heat shield?

Can the rubber seal fall out on its own, i will take a look today to see if its still on.

No i didn't remove the heatshield but i did suspect that the cat was causing the heat in the cabin.

Rubber seal still in, all heat shields in tact, and my shifter does get a little warm at times. Nothing that I would say would cause me to sweat though. Just a little slightly warmer hand

Not really. It fits real tight around the metal lip of the floor. Unscrew the armrest assembly and pull up the plastic "tray" under the ebrake handle. You'll see it. Most likely hot air from the exhuast tunnel is finding a way into the cabin.
