i use GM synchromesh manual fluid. head up to your chevy/gmc/whatever dealership and pick some up (~$9 a quart). my car has never shifted so smooth (even from day 1). supposed to be great on worn synchros too

i love it.

a lot of people will also suggest just heading up to honda and getting honda fluid. nothing wrong with that, works great as well. GM just seems to work better for me.

Whoa, a B16A1. I have never seen one of those, and neither has anyone else. You are a lucky man...

Anyway, the GM stuff is good, but WAY expensive. I got 3 qts. of Honda MTF for the price of one qt. of Synchromesh. Redline also makes some good MTF, but it's also a bit pricey. Whatever you do, DO NOT USE GEAR OIL!!!

Isn't Honda MTF is just regular 10W30 oil?
