Default are tubo coolant lines necesary?

i am using a t25. do i have to run the coolant lines to the turbo? cant i just run oil. i know not running coolant will have effect on longevity of the turbo but how much? also the greddy kit comes with a mitsu turbo and it doesnt have coolant lines, only oil.
