GTR Turbo water lines
is it true that it is not neccesary to run the water lines on the garret ball bearing turbo's, and that if you do, it will significantly raise the coolant temp in your car and maybe cause the car to overheat??

you dont HAVE to run the lines. full race doesnt use them either. some people do have problems with the coolant lines connected

They can also replace their turbos on a regular basis because they have hundreds in stock.
save yourself, and save your turbo, GTR turbos need to use their water lines to be efficient and have a long life..

I cant imagine a turbo boiling the coolant, unless possibly on a racetrack on a hot day, but if the cooling system is up to par there shouldnt be a problem, and if you dont run the lines you void the Turbo Warranty

Re: (96 GSR-T)
My engine coolant temps didn't change with the water lines connected to my GT30R.. It will allow the turbo to live a longer life, and will keep the warranty intact.

Only depending upon the purpose of the car. If it's mainly for street use, you should be fine.

I'm glad you searched, but next time rather than bringing back a thread from October, just start a new one and reference the old thread.
