Check engine light question
I have a hondata p28 in my car. Before, i had toda b cams and it was tuned for that. Now i have skunk2 stage 1's and i'm still running off the same map. Randomly, i will get a check engine light while driving. But when i turn off my car to check the code, the engine light is gone. What gives?

Naw, its not really hot. Like randomly after cruising on the freeway or something. I don't get why it does it? Its not so much the fact that the light is going on, but i'm not sure if something actually bad is going on with my motor.

Does it throw the light at highway speeds? I have that same thing happen. When I drive along on the highway for about 10 min. my light comes on. But when I shut it off and restart it goes off.
Yeah it does that at high way speeds. Or if i'm cruising for a few minutes on a local road. I'm thinking its my primary o2 sensor. Cause when i check for the code, it just flashes once.

you do not need to turn off the car and turn it back on to check your code.
while the engine is idleing, you can jump the wire and just run the code
code 1-0 is your o2 sensor.

its the POS chip. My old chip would the exactly the same thing, at least 3 times a day, bought a new chip, never happened again, to this day it has yet to throw a CEL.
Try replacing the chip.

the hondata chip.
When i got a new chip put in, the check engine stopped coming on, im hoping it will be the same for you

Funny...i was driving on the freeway today...and I got a CEL.
So I pull over and jump the connector...but it flash REALLY quick...not a normal short flash. It was weird.
I just reset my ECU and no code.
I hope it's not the Hondata.

what do u guys think? it actually seems slower in the video though. But that can't be a code 1. I've had my o2 sensor wiring throw a code 1 before and it wasn't like this.
