Spring rates, how to determine or find.
I currently have Intrax Lowering Springs on my '90 CRX
Looking to swap out for some Eibach Sportline springs.
I'm aiming to increase the spring rate (as the Intrax springs feel soft).
Anyway to determine the springrate for each? I've search the net and can't find poo...

you can determine the spring rate by the geometry of the spring. i found a good link that will do the math quickly for you. this only applies to the LINEAR portion of the spring, so take that into account. i would either disregard or try to separate the rings where the coils seems separated at different distances, then add up the spring rates, use the right formula tho, also on that site. take your measurements and calculations for whatever they are worth to you.

heres also a comparative list of various spring rates for mostly an integra. just to give you an idea.

i just read about intrax lowering springs. if you just got their "lowering springs" line of springs, they are designed to be exactly the same as OE, or even less with a progressive wind. so no wonder they seem soft. any other spring kit will probably be better. i recommend eibach pro kits. intrax also sells other line of springs called super sport for extra stiffness.
