i just wrecked my R (for those that don't know)

and i'm growing a liking to the wrx...

and this one mr2...

and this one supra TT

and a fake R

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.....

i odn't even know if i want to put evrything into a EK hatch anymore...

i'm so depressed

if i had the cash I would get a wrx.

 

if you want a project car stick with a hatch..... but the WRX sounds fun because of the turbo.. it all depends on how much $$ you gots . heheheh well sorry to hear that you wrecked your R. Especially when i live pretty close to you. too bad we never met. well have fun shopping for a new car..

didn't you have the car for less than 6 months? i think an autox type driver's education should be mandatory for every new driver; probably should be repeated every year too.

 

i've had the car for over a year... and i got into a head on collission... it's my fault yes.... but i didn't lose control of the vehicle...


guys think i should get a wrx? a bigger turbo and a few other goodies would yeild a pretty good ET ....

but i still don't know.... i'm absolutely in love with the jdm front end...

there's a fake R for sale... it has front end, CF hood, everything is swapped in... and i mean EVERYTHING... i talked to the guy and saw a pic... basically the only way to find out its fake is if you run the vin # and the fact that it's painted blue.... and the jap R motor has been massaged by portflow, port n polish, 5 angle job, bottom end, balanced... the works...
i realy mean everything.... interior, panels, braces, control arms...
did i say everything?

for 15 grand (it's in a 95 integra body) and is faster than a stock ITR (noticeably)
what do you guys think?

My opinion:

Mr2s are pretty cool, mid engine and stuff. Not all that practical I would think though

WRX: I'd personally wait for the STi or see what Mitsubishi brings (if they bring the EVO)

Supra TT: If you want speed, this is the thing to get. Probably the best modibility of any modern car, and Toyota reliability to boot. THe catch is it weighs damn near 3700lbs, so tossible is not in the Supra's vocabulary. I know a lot about these, because i was planning on getting one before the ITR came into my life

I don't know your $$$ situation after the accident, but there are so many options IMO.

New:
1. WRX
2. RSX-S
3. New MR2
4. Miata MX-5 6-spd
5. Audi A4 (you can get a killer deal on remaining '01 A4's... if you can find one)
6. Maxima SE Special Edition
7. S2000

If I were to get a new car and my budget allowed, I'd get a S2000 or new MR2. IMO, I'm young only once and I've gotta have a convertible before I'm 30.

 

Sorry to hear about your car. If I had to buy another right now I'd go for a Supra TT just because I've always wanted one

I have a hatch, and after a while..it gets tiring to drive, do to the lack of alot of amenities..my opinion is get a stock turbo car..cuz they r the easiest to make fast.
The Supra TT and WRX are both good choices...but it all comes down to how fast u wanna go, and if u need four doors, a backseat, or if u like RWD or AWD...

 

if you can't drive/control the best handling front wheel drive car in the world (yah I know....ouch) then I would steer clear of anything with a mid-engine or rear-drive layout - you don't want to kill yourself do you?

my vote for you is the WRX - all wheel drive should keep you out of trouble.

 

yes ouch... but actually... i have a pretty good grasp on how to drive my car... which isn't the reason why i got into the accident... that's another story.... but... will i have a hard time adjusting to AWD or RWD?

mr2 turbos are cool... how much money am i looking at to make that go fast?

I test drove the wrx yesterday and I like the car and think it looks the best in blue. I also feel if your looking to lease, they have shitty deals. I mean there almost as much as a lexus IS 300. Anyways I know they can be made alot faster then the type R for a lot less money.

i found a rx7 with a single turbo upgrade.... and the guy already had the motor rebuilt with only 2k on the fresh motor... about 90k on the car... i'm thinking about this car a lot...

what about an audi A4? anyone know much about this car?

My friend had just picked up a wrx wagon after years of building his gs-r and getting it in the low 13's n/a. He had a shot at getting an R, got the Wrx instead never regretted it at all. It's odd because for some reason I browse the I-club page more often than H-T since that wagon came around.
