Experiences with Majestic turbo?
Im sending off my t3/t4 on monday to Majestic Turbo for a rebuild. They told me that they can rebuild it and put it in the mail the same day that they got it. Do they really stick to that or do they take forever? Ive heard nothing but good **** about them...but i would like some feedback on them anyway so ill feel good about shipping it off and i wont be nervous(bad experieces in the past). Thanks

I have not had good experiences with their turbo rebuilds in the past. Don't do it!!
I had an RX-7 twin turbo that sent through two sets of turbos they rebuilt in one year. Each time I had to eat the labor for the install. I was so frustrated I had to buy turbos from a junkyard to resolve the problem. Recently they rebuilt a turbo for my VW Passat. It just went bad after only 12,000 miles. Now my tuner who had talked me into using Majestic again says he doesn't recommend rebuilding turbos from Majestic. I should have gone with my better judgement. Go with someone else or just buy a new one. You'll be better off.

i remember about a year ago.. they were really nice, friendly helpful...
now every time i have a question all they say is send your turbo in or we can look at it...
REALLY annoying when you are a hard core do it yourselfer. also they wont sell turbo rebuild kits anymore!
I bought a turbo from them.. and i haven't had any problems so far, i probably have 5,000 or so miles on it 500 of them low boost (6 psi) But the turbine discharge studs backed out and fell off... so my downpipe just was disconnected.
I probably would not make another purchase again, just due the way customer service has changed.

We sent a turbo in for a rebuild, and the same day it arrived, I got a call from them saying it would be shipped out the same day. Sure enough, got a tracing #, and recieved the turbo 4 days later.
OPen the box, beautiful, the entire thing. We had a 60-1 HIFI conversion done, and went to spin the wheel..."Houston we have contact".
Looked in the compressor inlet after a few forced rotations(not FORCED, but it wouldnt spin freely), and there were aluminum shavings from the housing that the wheel had cut off. Took the housing off, sure enough, a groove around 40 thousandths deep in the housing.
Called Kevin, he said,"Send it back." That was two weeks ago. I called them yesturday in all my free time, and they said,"We wondered why that came back." Granted, I didnt leave a note in there, but they had the turbo in their possesion for a week, and didnt even bother to call(My business name/number are RIGHT ON THE BOX).
So, we will see what we get back. The more I deal with other businesses, the more I strive to improve MY OWN.

yeah. But still. if you're going to do something, at least try to do it right and have some sort of quality control. i know how it is, but still they've been in buisness a ver long time.

Ya, Ive never heard anything negative about them really. I think Mike just thought the bearings were still pretty tight, ie, thats why he shipped it out. Ive made mistakes too, so I know what boat they are in. But this has made me quadroople-inspect everything before I ship-out.

I know what you mean, every time I order parts they never come on time. I stay very busy all year around and try to keep things moving smooth. I have this one customer waiting on a Manifold so I can get his car in and out, It should of been here 5 weeks ago and we still don't have it .
If people would tell you how long things would take in the first place you could plan around them.
