Help this Noob
Hey what up guys I just purchsed my first car (im 15) 95 LS. I have about 3500 dollars to spend so I was wonderin if I could get some input as far as mods ect... My main want right now is headers and an exshaust, so if you guys could reccomend one to me that would be great. Thanks for the help
i would mod the suspension first. Lower it using full coilovers, get a type R rear sway bar, and if you want get the misc. bars you could add.
That itself shouldn't be 3500, so with the rest get some grippy tires w/ light rims or i/h/e.
for i/h/e i suggest any short ram intake w/ a good filter, dc header is fine, testpipe is a must, and any 60mm exhuast is fine
so that would be 1000-1200 for teins, 100 for type R sway, 700 for tires/rims, 700-750 for i/h/t/e. so you should still have a bit left over even after that

yes young noob learn the rules of the road first, i wouldnt really mod it right now just learn how to drive then get a good feel for the car then once you start modifying it you will notice a diff. well atleast you will on the butt dyno, but then again on a butt dyno its all in your head

at least 6 months, thats what i did so i didnt get hassled by cops. and they probably arent as likely to come after you if you have stuff done. if you have 3500 i would save it. unless you think that you will never have to buy anything else with that money... which is unlikely.. you might find a new hobby or something, cars cant get a little pricey.
do what people say. learn to drive first your only 15 i don't even think you can get a permitt when your 15 can you? drives ed is useally sophhmore year which means people are usally 16. neways if you do have to get **** on your car do the usally H/I/E andlike a cf hood or lower it. shouldn't get the turbo yet unless you plan on leaving it in the grage and driving a shitty car around till u learn how to drive great.

Drive the car stock for at least six months. Learn the car. You'll learn a lot more when you're driving 7/10ths (of the car's capability) than 5/10ths. Go to an autocross. Go to a driving school. Then mod, and do it slow, research everything yourself. Research the WHY of things, not just WHICH ONE or WHAT.
And do things right. Get the best stuff you can afford. For me, at the moment that means my Integra has Comptech Icebox Intake, Comptech 4-2-1 Stainless Steel Header, Carsound Cat, and Comptech Stainless Steel Catback Exhaust; Koni Yellow Shocks and Ground Control Custom Rate Springs. I cannot give this system a high enough recommendation for a non-VTEC Integra. GSR and ITR, when modded, would benefit from something of a bit larger diameter. But for the LS its perfect. Don't buy into the 3" hype.

Have fun out there, but remember mom wants you home in one piece at the end of the day.
