Stock SI cams,.... once you've got so much boost, the turbo doesn't care and just shoves air down there!!

in all actuality you will yield a better power through out the entie RPM range with turbo cams. See the SI and GSR cams work well but they also let unused boost escape because of overlap.

why are you using type r cams. dont they have a lot of overlap because it is an al motor cam.

id say go with type r cams brand new from the factory for 350 and i believe it was AUTOEXTURBO that got close to 30hp just from the cams alone.

Yep, made about 40whp more than the gsr cams did.

Then explain why all the pro guys still use Stock cams?

they still use them because they do their job well. but dynos show more power with turbo cams. I don't know that all the pro guys use stock cams, that may be an incorrect asumption.

just thought of this, most of those guys have head work done, could explain why they use stock cams.

i'm assuming with a port and polish, different valves and springs that may work.

i personally know of someone who got 740 hp at the wheels with a stock (unported) gsr head, and type r cams with a b16 block. im not gonna mention any names. they know who they are.
