Why so many ITRs are now for Sale?
Just curious.
I am certain some are multiple listings but
itrca.com has about a dozen of them on the list,
classifieds2000.com has a bunch of them too.
What seems weird nowaday is when I saw a "WTB ITR" post, he got half a dozen replies from sellers. Unlike before, when I see "FS ITR", there are more potential buyer replies than sellers. Others are even reducing prices.
What's going on?

Theft is a worry - because of which the cars are often not very practical to own. Insurance is nasty. They are often bought by people who can't really afford them and are sold off quickly. Sometimes people just want a new toy every so often.
I'd keep mine forever if I could but I never know when it is going to disappear.
There are approximately 4000 ITRs in North America and at the very most 300 owners are regulars here and at itrca.com, yet theft reports appear at the rate of two per month. The numbers are scary.

I laugh every time I see someone post about R's holding resale value. It's a car. Wanna know how car investments do? Not well. I bought my 97 for 16k last year.
The Type R is a special car only to a very select few people. What makes you believe your perception of the car is the general public's opinion? It's just another Honda to most people.
Yes, it's a fabulous driver's car, and it's kinda rare, but it's just a bunch of metal.

True just a car, but they are rare! Like any car the value will drop then after a few years then it may be worth some $$. True I try to keep the resale up on mine but I do use it too.
Besides you all know the RSX is a way better car!
