Default CRV engine = detuned Integra engine?

I've read somewhere that the 2003 CRV enging is a detuned Integra engine. Anybody care to confirm that? Thanks

The 03 CR-Vs come with a 2.4 liter k-series. What does the Integra have?

it a bigger(0.4 liters) version of the base rsx and civic si motor. it does not have the extra vtc that the rsx-s does. it is also the same motor as the 4-cylinder accords.

the last generation cr-v had a larger displacement b-series motor and was the same as in the integra ls/rs/gs.

and where is here? maybe you should put your location in your profile. i'm sure its a 2 liter, but its not a b-series motor. unless the 2003 model is the older(1st gen) model. but, the 2nd gen is based off the civic/rsx platform, so it will either have a ka-series motor. also, i think other markets get a optional diesel motor. if that was in the US, i would definitely get a cr-v for the wonderful winters in park city. but, right now i am considering getting a used isuzu vehicross.

i have a 03 CRV 2.4L K-series
98 CRV B20 2.0L B-series

RSX 2.0L K-Series

the RSX-type R uses different head than the RSX or RSX-S. It has a 3-lobe cam for 3 intake/exhaust valves in the head
