you can do this setup, but its a little pointless because the dx blocks are so weak. you might as well get whole d16z6 and turbo it.

it's not the block that is weak. it's the cranks that blow.

our are better off getting a d16 (16 valve type) and go from there

This is my first tubo engine so i wanted to turbo something that i know i wouldnt care about if blows haha, in the future i plan on turboing a B series. If im on about 5 psi on the d15, and i do not drive it to hard, will it last atleast 20k miles?

Mini Me d15/d16z6 head
Rods are pretty weak as well. I ran about 7 daily with 440dss and a fpr.
When it blew im not sure how much i was boosting

5-6psi is nothing as long as its properly fueled.

something went wrong there..

as long as you get the good fuel management/tuned, you should be fine but I wouldn't go more than 7psi..

i would say to keep the boost at 5. make sure that you get it tuned or you will have big problems.

I've had 2 mini-me turbos, both came out real good, 1 a6 minime and a b2 minime. Just go easy on your timing, and make sure shes tuned good.
