Auction is over, but I bet you can e mail the guy still...

$24,000 for a black ITR with 71 miles on it.

What a steal!

I'm kinda suprised it didn't get any bids?

Looks like a good deal to me.

why by a ITR insure it and then never drive it.. unless you wanted to sell it for a gain later but then he is selling cheaper then he got it for so I don't know?

no collector will want it....especially if there are others out there who have done this in a better manner.. (and there are)

its been driven.

imo if he was going to waste the time and money storing it this long...he should have towed it to his garage and left it there for all this time...with 5-9 miles on the odo.

fact that he did not is quite odd.

It may only have 71 miles, but I still think 24K is a tad high.

...better to get a WRX AWD and smoke it...but of course...it's still an RRRRRR

I forget exactly how it reads but the service schedule says 3 years or 30K miles, whichever comes first. Some of those fluids need to be changed out after a certain amount of time passes. Brake fluid, for example.

Could he of just driven it around, and brought a new guage cluster from Acura, stored that, and then just put in when he wants to sell the car? The engine bay doesn't get dust like that if sitting with hood shut.

Agreed...

24K invested into a SoCal 200K house would have you sitting pretty right about now......property values have been through the roof there...uncles property almost doubled in value in the past 3 years

Cars are not very solid and subject to too many variables to be worthwhile...plus unless you personally love the car....storing it for 30years would be a pain in the ***.

Its not hard at all to roll back the miles... unless its digital, which is a lil more tricky.

I thought to properly store a car you actually need to drain all the fluids and even suspend the car so the tires don't get uneven, although I'm not 100% sure of all the details.

its so easy to interchange and replace the clusters, that i do not think mileage, unless it can be truly authenticated without doubt, will be a part of the key points in basing an ITR's pedigree and value....if the ITR ever reaches collector status one day, which i think it will
