Default Tunning An Accord into a Race Car ...

Hey Guys,
How are all you racers doing out there? Must be ups and downs huh. Anyway yo, I'm here with a few extended questions and requesting some suggestions.

You see, I have a 2001 HONDA ACCORD I4 LX 4DR. The only mods I have done so far to my car is add a Nakayama Cold Air Intake with an AEM Bypass valve. I've also changed the spark plugs wire to a 9mm High-Performance wires with blue-azecone coating. I just bought a 4-2-1 stainless header and a DragonFly Exhaust Muffler. I've also installed COILOVERS by [unknown maker], BUT they are truely awesome COILOVERS... I can drop up to 5"... Currently, my car is only 2" dropped frontside and 1.75" dropped rearside ...
.....
with all of these modifications, what else do you guys think I'm missing?

Here's my car:

Here's my Nakayama Cold Air Intake:

Here's the rear pic of my car:

Please help me out... I want to modifiy my car (INTERNALLY ONLY) to ACHIEVE ULTIMATE RACECAR in the ACCORD EDITION!!!! Any comments, suggestions will be appreciated.

THANK YOU!!!!

do engine swap include to your option ?
if not, turbo it
Probably buy a K&N intake filter

Take out the dash, carpets, rear seat, paneling, spare tire, console, speakers, stereo, A/C, cruise control and sound deadening material. Relocate the battery to the trunk.

Replace the front seats with milk cases for good measure. This will tunn your Accord into a truly eye tunning race car.

Yo... first of all.. Thanks for all your suggestions and quotes....

... let me be clear then... it seems as though everyone is confused...

I want to tune it to a racecar, without the exterior looking like a robot. Next, I would want to just gain enough Horsies to rev it up on streets and not make a fuss about it. Even if its at 200 to 400 HP, I would still take that...

so, what other suggestions do you have... I like the turbos, superchargers... what HP can I get and what mechanical or electrical stuff I need to modify to reach that limit... its an accord so I understand there's certain restriction...

dude, its like asking if there are motor swaps for honda's, obviously a race car can be created from a honda, a 4dr lx, possibly, i think first things first, were looking at a motor swap, dont waste money on parts for the stock motor when to get a race effect you need to swap out the motor, secondly, lets see, once you get the motor swap, you want to max it out with bolt ons, and then go out and look for forced induction, but for high horsepower your gonna need to do a lot of suspension work to the front end, axles, spindles, etc... you might also want to change out a lot of parts for lightweight, I.E. carbon fiber...! lets see what else, you cant have a system, the A/C will only hinder performance, you can take that out for the winter etc...of course depending where you live, im in NJ and 7 months of the year a heater is all you need, uhm, then you also dont want to go too crazy, you dont want the car to look like a robot, but it might require a little of that, get an AEM cold Air Intake, i personally think those are the best, and even better, get a V2 if you can, slightly more in price but more performance, uhm, there is so much to do, after a while, depending on power, you will want to get body components which help you adjust the downforce etc...its very intricate when it comes to wanting a race car, there are so many things to think about, and we havent even covered so much, best thing to do, make a budget, write it down, this time next year in reality how much money can you save, then once you've done that, post that amount here and let people rip some reality into you...oh, for race look, make sure your car isnt beige or ill shoot you myself for doing all this typing!

WRONG!

I drive a 94 4 door LX pure race car with stock motor with 125,000 miles on the stock motor
you need to be way more specific on exactly what you want out of your car to make it a race car

also if this is gonna be a street car that never sees the track then call it a street car

i think it's pretty clear he just wants a fast street car, seeing as he cant even specify what type of racing he wants to do.

It's a real shame what goes on sometimes. And no one is willing to take the time to straighten someone out. Today is a sad day. And I will no longer waste everyone elses time here with my dreary post. Thank you.

WTF??

What the hell happened in this thread? It went to crap really quick.

Anyway.
Strip your car completely, dash even. build a custom dash, get lightweight seats, lexan windows, evrey little thing you can do to lose weight.

then build the F motor and turbo it. And remember the necessary upgrades to the fuel and ignition.

alright, really chief, i hope you arent serious "yo" I am seriously having a terrible time trying to figure out exactly what you mean. and how can you make a car look like a robot? put arms and legs on it? but ill take that to mean that you want for your car to look stock and be somewhat of a sleeper. Im not sure what engine you have...F23? but....you dont really want to turn your car into a racecar, racecars arent pretty, and they arent pleasant to drive in (for the most part) several members have suggested that you swap in a H22 VTEC engine, which is always an option, but probably not the most cost-effective for your (relatively) modest goals, it seems that you just want your car to have a little "pep" in its step so to speak. I dont own a 2001 accord, and havent looked, but i can almost assure you, without a doubt that there is AT LEAST one turbo kit out there for your car, all it takes is a 15 minutes on your favorite search engine to find it! I beleive you will have a hard time finding a supercharger for your car, nitrous is yet another option, but personally, i think it would be best for YOU to stay away from that. $3500 is the average cost of a turbo kit, call your local shop to find out how much it would cost to install. I dont really know of any turbo kits that wont have you up to around 200 Hp. If you have a manual transmission, you will probably need a new clutch, and it wouldnt hurt to get an aluminum flywheel, if you have an automatic, say your prayers and do a search, there are a few guys with turbo automatics on this board, but dont expect it to be any walk in the park to get it to work right.

there's one kit, now you go find the rest of them
