How do you tell if a JDM B18C engine has LSD?
I was wondering if there was any way to tell from the outside of the engine if a B18C with S80 tranny has LSD? Like does a serial number say? Or is it supposed to be stamped? Or does the S80 tranny inheriently have LSD? Also is there any other way to do so without taking the engine apart? Any help would be great. .

no you don't take the engine apart but you do have to pull the axles out to look thru the hole to see. oem lsd stamps thru years of use will rub off or fade off so the best and easiest way is looking thru the tranny. if you see a bar in the diff then it's a peg leg(non-lsd) tranny. but if you see right thru the tranny without any obstructions then it's a lsd tranny.

i thought it was the other way around? if there was a bar going through the diff. that means it's lsd. but if it doesnt, then its not.
