oil pan gasket replacement
i needed to know when i take my oil pan off this weekend to get my return line fitting welded on do i need to replace the oil pan gasket? or am i going to be ok if it all comes off in one piece? if i have to replace it how much do they run?
You should replace it. They cost $21.33 from http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.org. Probably around $10-15 more from a local dealer, but you don't have to pay the shipping.

Yeah, you should replace it. I replace one with a OEM one I bought from honda.
How many miles?
Dont get me wrong, when I do ****, i do it right. But the OEM honda gasket is quite thick, and can be reused.
I have taken mine off TWICE, reused it both times. Just clean it off REALLY good and use a mild amount of Permatex silicone sealant. It works great.
If your honda dealer has to order them, and you dont mind waiting, go ahead and get a new one. But my car is a 99 and has 50K miles and i reused it, works fine.
Just dont overtighten the pan bolts.
