Default Gsr B18c rebuild

Ok guys, Im in Colorado and the weather is starting to chill, I am getting ready to do a rebuild on my 4 door gsr. I am wondering I have found brand new b18c5 pistons and wrist pins for 180 shipped, would these be beneficial to my rebuild or should I get some aftermarket pistons??

You may find it necessary to use oversized pistons depending on cylinder bore wear and measurements.

More than likely, it'll be just fine to use a 81mm piston, but you never know.

I wait until the motor is measured before running out and buying pistons, or I just use an oversized piston from the start. It's not hard to find prices around $180 to $190 shipped for 81mm or 81.25mm OEM Honda pistons, and shipping from CA (where there are lots of vendors are selling such parts) shouldn't take more than a few days.

Forged pistons wear more on the bore and piston skirts b/c of the larger piston-to-bore clearances. If you don't need them, don't use them.

i would wait like said above for the tolerences of your motor before purchasing pistons. If you need to hone out your cylinders you will need to get a OS piston. b18c5 is a nice upgrade while rebuilding. Good luck
