Will we be getting an RSX-R? does anyone have any idea? or any info on this?

 

highly dobut it. it was rumor but who knows

 

Why bother just get the Type-R intake manifold, cams and Hondata ECU and you'll basically have one, minus .5 compressionand LSD.

 

I was told by a Honda Rep. and an Acura Dealership that the RSX-R was coming out. I have spot #3 reserved at my dealership.

 

my friend who works at the local dealer said that for '04 they are not coming out.........but no word for the '05 yet obviously

 

Its amazing how this conversation never dies, but all my ideas of any R's coming died when I heard about the 04 Si...

 

It will never die. It's the ultimate mystery no one will ever know. Till honda officailly annouces it so why bother keep asking. There is no point. When they annouce that its coming trust me everyone will know.

 

how many posts are there of this topic? And the only facts we have to back up are statements are useless strings of Honda propaganda.

I for one think they will bring the DC%-R here tp the states. The reason i have for this is because the pearl white RSX only comes with Tan interior, you can't get it in black. Usually when we get the type-r the first and only color we get it in is White.
So i think the only reason that the white type-s doesn't come with black interior is because their saving that package for the DC5-R

 

just get it imported... or by base model RSX used and ****** swap the engine

Really??? In Canada the white RSX type S only comes in back interior...

 

so the type-s doesnt come with LSD?

thats not just it....you don't have the type R interior....the looks the ad on kit...the better rims.....there is a difference...and plus you can say i got a TYPE R

 

The jump from GS-R to Type R on the DC2 was much greater than the S to R on the DC5.

I don't know if Honda sees the difference is worth bringing over the car.

was the DC5R's chassis stiffened like the DC2R's?

how different is the suspension from s to R compared to gsr to R

braking? interior isnt all that important

Did u get ur buddyclub2 kit on yet, BTW 03rsxtypeS? My ings kit finally got painted.. just waiting for my dc5 headlamps+HIDs before i put it on so i can knock it out in one shot...you know ed (muevelonyc) right?

No the DC5R does not have chassis stiffening because Honda designed the DC5 chassis to have the stiffness that the Type-R would need from the start.

The truth is that the difference between the DC5 Type-S and Type-R is not as great as the difference between the DC2 GS-R and Type-R but that simply means it is cheaper for Honda to produce the DC5R (relatively).

The pricing for the DC5R if it came here would be a problem though. Because the stupid *** Factory Performance kits are so expensive, bringing any of the R vehicles would immediately render them useless. Honda obviously cannot afford to price a DC5R past the $28K for an RSX-S FP so one of the two has to give. I say Honda needs to either break up the FP kits so people can buy the parts one at a time or can the program altogether. No one is going to buy the FP kits at MSRP and it is not going to help build the Honda and Acura brands the way the R vehicles have.

Not here in the U.S. White RSX-S or Base only comes with Tan interior.
