wich crank has the best rod stroke ?

Since it is a DOHC VTEC, it can't be that bad. In fact, it is not bad at all. Actually, this motor is fairly similar to the B16A. It uses the same head assembly and block. Only the crank, rods, and (probably) pistons are different. Simply put, it is a B16A that has been stroked to 1.7 liters. Its compression ratio is also slightly lower. Power output is the same 160HP as the B16A. But naturally, you get more torque due to the larger displacement (117ft-lb vs 111ft-lb). The rod ratio is not as good as the B16A (about 1.62:1 vs 1.74:1). But 1.62:1 is still pretty good for a Honda motor. If you get the motor with the transmission, you get a very nice transmission - the YS1. But the main problem with this motor is its rareness and cost.
The search is only as helpful as you make it.

yep the B17A R/S ratio is about 1.61-1.62.
better than the B18C by a bit but not as good as the 1.74 on the B16A.
the B17A uses more crank stroke and shorter rod length, which results in the worse R/S ratio. but a good motor altogether.
