im lookin for that kinda high pitched sound like the type s, please dont give me that 'it doesnt matter what it sounds like' line or call me a ricer cuz i care what a bov sounds like, i apoligize ahead time if you werent goin to i dont post in this forum and dont no you guys, im just goin from expirence everywhere else on this board if your not askin what size spoon wheels to get or what jdm part to get next your a ricer and i am far from a ricer, im sellin my itr now and am gettin a hatch, its gonna be a turbo gsr motor, and am goint o out together a kit myself, im real bad at savin money so saving up 2500 bucks isnt gonna happen so i figure that id do a **** load of research and make my own kit with the best parts

 

if you want a bov that sounds like a type s , why not just get the type s?

HKS SS has a high pitched sound.

 

i no i can get a type s i just wanna no what else sounds simaler, a friend of mine has a type s on his gsr, so i wanted to get somthing different so i dont hear the exact same sound all the time, just somthing simaler

 

i love my Type-S....i also love the sound of my buddy's Tial BOV. the damn thing is FREAKEN LOUD!!!

 

Tial sounds pretty close, maybe a bit louder though.

 

My Tial turns heads for sure.....I think people who don't know about turbos are like...WTF????

hehe nice, i like my type s, although i have heard a bit about the type s's leaking, but mine seems fine.

 

hehe yea, i'd turn if i saw a tail on u too

so you don't want the same sound so u wont get tired of it, but u want a similar sound? if ur really on such a budget just get a dsm 1g bov. most people i encountered will think its either an air suspension or vacuum leak and with the type-s they'll just think there's a bird trapped under there. just my suggestion for the budget minded . being poor and picky don't mix well. trust me, i know that all too well

 

im not on a tight budget, i was also leaning towards the tial, and my friends type s leaks and sounds a little weird, but i like the high pitched bov sound

 

try hks.. high pitch and won't sound like factory bov..

 

just get the greddy s. I have it and it sounds nice. I think the reason why it leaks is because the adjusting screw is too loose. it needs to be tightened so the leak can go away. I had mine loose and it always made this whining noise until i tightened it, then it went away.

If you want a high pitched and the best performance out of it as well then i say go with the HKS ssq b/c it has a very similar sound as the type s but can hold a lot more boost since it is a pull type valve.

 

i like the hks also, grrrr decisions i dont like decisions

 

HKS SSQV sounds great if you like high pitched bovs. my dsm 1g is pretty shrill too but seems to be a little soft but isn't adjustable....but it was like $15

 

i think it's really funny when your BOV goes off and people are like "i think somethings wrong with your car!"
