FYI: Sparco seat brackets suck.
Yeah, I know, It's been said time and time again, but let me reiterate for those that missed it: Sparco seat brackets suck.
Trying to put Evo2s in my GSR. Had trouble getting one of the side rails on one of the seats where I wanted it. I had to change the position of the rail just to get it on. Looks like I'll be using that one for the passenger side.
I want a setup without sliders. Partially to save some money, but also to save some headroom. I'm not a tall guy, but the more headroom the better.
So I pick up some of the "old style" Sparco bases for my Integra. (The new style just came in, so must of you have the old style, in case you were wondering.) Turns out the passenger side bracket has a tab for the stock belt latch, but the driver side doesn't.
Of course the side rails won't bolt directly to the base, but I knew this going into it. I'm in the process of fabbing an adapter that will let me bolt the two together. It was a good excuse to buy a bench-top drill press.
Once I'm done with those, I have to bolt the inside lap belts to the floor/tunnel. I think I'll be able to use the lap buckles from the rear seats, instead of trying to find Civic buckles from a yard. We'll see.
I'll post some pics of my solution when I'm done.

I had a set of the "old version" (what's the diff. by the way?), and as far as I know sparco outhouses the making of the brackets to Wedge Engineering. I guess they just try to make a universal bracket for every model of honda, b/c mine fit terribly, and not only did they not line up, but using the brackets (as they came) raised my seating position by a good 2 inches. Long story short, their "engineered" brackets got re-engineered by me. Shame really, b/c their stuff isn't cheap.
Aparently, the new brackets are made in house by Sparco. They look similar, but maybe a little more refined. They aren't any taller, or shorter.
I don't know where youre at, but next time around, I'm just going to have a local shop fab me some floor mounts. All they require is that you provide the side mounts, and they go from there. The cost is close to what you pay for the generic brackets. Or, I'll have them build off my pre-exisiting "modified" (read: hacked) mounts. I'm in San Diego, CA. Let me know if you'd like their #.

Hi, sorry for bringing this back up from the dead, but I would really like to get in touch with a professional seat bracket fabricator. I've got Wedge Engineering brackets, and I just sit too high, and I'm not to impressed with their quality, either. If anyone has any place to recommend in the Southern California area, please let me know. I am in San Diego, but I also commute to LA regularly.

I just came back from SEMA and Sparco is making some new seat brackets and sliders made in house, not by Wedge. They are called Flats, billet Aluminium, they fit and are very nice.
i know of the spoon sports low-down seat rails mite fix your problem. however i think the bride seat rails will prolly work better ::: http://www.takakaira.com ::: they seat rails claim to be compatible with the larger sparco seats (EVO, REV, PRO2000) and recaros (SRD, SPG, so on and so forth) :: they offer 2 versions side mount and bottom mount
Yes, Wedge brackets suck ***. I had one for my Sparco in the Hype R, and it raised the seating position by close to two inches. Never found an appropriate solution, and ended up selling the seat.

You'd think for $1000 bucks they would make some decent equipment to actually mount these things.

you didnt try hard enough , a little modding of the male portion is needed , no big deal though.

Everyone I know that's made their own brackets, made them starting with OEM pieces. Not a bad idea, really, especially if you've got a car where the seat mounting is pretty traditional (seat on top of slider on top of bracket).
To mount a seat in my 240SX (which has an UNtraditional stock seat mount.. the seat sits BETWEEN the rails), I just bit the bullet and bought a Bride rail system. Their mounting hardware costs so much more not (just) because it's "JDM"... they design a custom setup for each car that's an integral bracket and slider as one piece. Their sidemount rails should fit almost any sidemount seats with 330mm (11") between the front and rear side mount points. As the Sprint is bottom-mount, I guess that doesn't help you... Their bottom-mount hardware only fits their seats and Recaros.

I just custom fabbed brackets for my sprint.
And i started with OE brackets. Get an extra set for your car, get 2 strips of steel to span the length of the brackets, drill holes in the steel that will fit the bottom mounts, and drill another set to match up with your brackets. pretty straight forward, but a PITA if you don't have proper tools. cool thanks. so the sprint is bottom mount, so all I need to do is take the OEM brackets (without sliders) and bolt two pieces of steel across them, then drill those two pieces to bolt onto the bottom of the seat?

pretty much. each seat base is different, and i actually used one from an older accord because mine are funky. But for the most part, you can get creative with it, and find a way to make it work. If you have an EG hatch, just unbolt the sliders from your stock seat and use those. You'll have to modify it a bit. You need to remove extra pieces of metal so you end up with a flat surface for your seat to mount onto.

I fabricated some seat rails for a sprint, that were almost exactly the same as the second link.
When I first test fit the seat, I could barely see over the steering wheel. So I ended up welding two lengths of 1" boxed steel running parallel with the stock rails to raise the seat up slightly.
