Default Need HELP!!! Found some potential Damage while doing Valve Adjustment!!!

As i am doing my very first valve adjustment, i found some like smirl mark, kinda like scractches between metals....

I took a picture of fist cylinder and the parts on the red circle is the damage. I seem the same smirl marks several other cylinder.

Anybody know what caused this? i dont think is normal wear but is it gonna effect how the car run in the long term?

thanks!!!

it is normal.

the marks are from the machining work when the head was made.

every dohc head (10+) I have looked in has had those marks.

Thanks guys...
I guess i am the very first one to bring up this topic.

well, after 5 hrs of hard work, doing my very first valve adjustment. I figure out that i should just ask the pro to do it. The engine sounds louder then before... It is so frustrating and stupid feeler gauge and my ghetto 10mm modified wrench just simply couldnt do the job right.
I will take her to the shop first thing this morning.

should just ask pro to do the job. sigh....

My first took two hours, but i bought the Snap-On tool. I'd say it is worth it.
