Default ITR Air Bags

What year Integra can a full 97 ITR Airbag unit (all components) be interchangeable with.

I heard 96-98 are all the same but I need to make sure

thanks

I think you have my question confused .... a friend of mine has a 97 Integra Type R ans he pulled the entire SRS system out including the wiring harness .... now he wants to sell it on ebay and people keep asking him what other year Integras (DC2 model) will this fit in and he doesnt know what to reply to so I thought someone here might know

94-97 for sure, and I would expect it fits 98-01 just fine as well, with no problems.. to my knowledge, there were no SRS changes between the two..

Edit: I was also really glad to see what this thread was actually about.. At first, I thought the guy with the bagged ITR in glen burnie had infiltrated honda-tech.. LOL..

THe only difference between 94-97 and 98-01 is the cover on the drivers bag... pre-98 it said Acura and 98+ it was changed to the logo

The bags are identical otherwise, all DC2/DB8 system components are interchangable AFAIK.

I tried to put the airbag from my '98 ITR in my '94 GSR when I got my JDM steering wheel. The connectors are slightly different so it does not plug straight in. I ended up using the rim of the ITR steering wheel with the airbag from the GSR. You could probaly splice in the correct connectors so that they will be compatable.

The connector for the srs is different from 94-97 to 98+. You have to cut and swap the plugs if you want the srs to work. Either that or swap srs reels.
