Default hey.. for those who knows bout teins

alright.. i installed some tein basic coilover on my 1992 honda prelude. now i have a couple problems if you guys can help me out with. the manual said that i should adjust the front 40mm(1.57 inches) from the base of the thread collar to the top of the second lock collar. now when i do that, it doesn't even lower my car. it's at stock height! so my car looks like it's lifted. it's at a good four finger gap between the tires and the bottom front fender. but when i adjust the collar to all the way down at the end of strut it lowers my car but it doesnt tuck it, it's a good finger and half gap. and the ride is VERY stiff and you can feel every bumb in the road. i then adjusted the coilovers (lowered it down from the recomended 40mm) to about an 1 inch(25.4mm) from base to top 2nd lock collar and it lowered the car about an inch to half an inch.

then i took it for a drive, it feels much better than when it was adjusted all the way down.

i'm wondering if any of you guys had problems like this with your teins coilovers. i dont want to slam the car. i just want the car to be nicely lowered all around with maybe a finger gap. what i dont understand is why would the recomended adjustment setting that Tein say to set them at would raise my car up to stock hieght..arent these supposed to be 'performance' minded coilover to at least lower it for a lower stance at least? funny thing is that the back seems to be at the correct adjustment as the teins manual says. 12.7 inches from the center of wheel to the bottom of the rear wheel well. but when i adjusted the coilover to (1.57) 40mm on the soilover it's like 15 inches from center of wheel to the bottom front fender. then when i adjusted the collar to about an inch it came out to about 14 inches from the center of the wheel to the fender.

if you guyy have any clue on what to do.. PLEASE let me know! right now i'm just kind confused if these TEIN recomended settinsg are even correct. thanks guys!

sorry for double posting.. just wnate dto get different oppinions. thanks
