just picked up an '89 hatch for a beater... what trim model is this?
my beater
i think it's a DX, but i'm not sure.
from looking at the interior... i'd say it's the base, base model but the valve cover says 16 valve, so i don't think it has the 70 hp engine in it. that would be an 8 valve wouldn't it?
it's a 4 speed with no tach and vinyl seats.
anyways, i payed $1200 for it and it has 110K miles on it.
think it was worth it?
and i know it's ugly as sin...

sounds like a dx to me. my 89 dx had vinyl seats, no tach and a beige/brown interior, oh yeah and that horrible 4 speed. until i swapped in a b16, fun old time now.
what should i do about the interior?
the color makes me nauseated.
i was thinking about using that interior dye stuff to make it black...
i'm that desperate.
it runs really good though... the guy i bought it off of just put a new muffler on it, a new clutch and new front brakes.

i was gonna keep it stock and just drive it... but that's impossible for me to do.
i'll most likely lower it and i might look for an LS engine to swap in.
i'm gonna try to put all my money towards my B18C powered '92 Si.

i'm looking forward to racing my buddies festiva...
it's going to be one of the slowest race's in the history of dragracing.
j/k
as long as it's reliable and gets good gas mileage, i'll be happy.
