hondat s200b prob. help!!!!!!!

Default hondata s200b prob. help!!!!!!!

ok, ive got a s200b with all the features except for g-sensor
the problem i am having is that i cant datalog in romeditor,i can datalog fine in hondalogger,my romulator seems to be working fine on uploading a map,car starts,no ck eng. light and steady light on s200,i have tried differnt com ports on the datalog side with no luck. the settings have been checked including disabling fifo. i am running windows xp for an os on my laptop with two usb to serial adapters. one adapter for romulator and the other for the s200. what else do i check
?

You can only datalog in 1 program at a time. It took me a few times to figure that on my own. If you can datalog in Hondalogger, your connection seems OK. Just close out that program and try leaving just the Rom Editor open.

hondalogger is closed when trying to datalog in romeditor-

Sounds like you have a problem with the port selection. Have you tried having 1 serial port and I USB?

i don't have any serials on my laptop,just 2 usbs and i printer port. could i run a 25 pin to db9serial port adapter for the romulator "instead of using two usbs" if so what port settings would i set up for this 25 pin port since its Lpt1?

I have the same problem and i haven't figured it out either I used someone elses computer and software and it worked, so it's either my laptop or the software I have.

hey tony,on the laptop that you are having problems with, what operating systems are you using and how old is your laptop and what brand? what laptop fixed it and what operating systems did it have?

try using any other operating system besides XP,XT or NT they are not DOS based.
