What kind of teflon paste do i use on oil fittings? permatex brand ok?
Ok i bought some permetex brand for sealing threads at high temp/pressure.. i'll have a pic within 45 min of the stuff...
if not that, what is the best thing for sealing those npt/bspt threads.. don't worry.. no **** on AN fittings

I like to use the Teflon paste rather than the tape. The tape peels off too easily sometimes when you start threading it in.

if the tape peels off... are you sure you put it on in the correct direction?

just go to any home depot, lowes etc... you can buy a larger tube of teflon paste for half the price.. trust me. the stuff they sell at automotive stores is a bit overpriced.
ps. to answer your question... that will work just fine. if u want to save money check out the other stores i mentioned above.

isn't some for only like hot/cold water at reg temps? our engines create like 50psi of HOT oil, like 100+ celcius...

tape only comes off when u wrap it the wrong way. or u wrap way to much.

Yeah, You never want to use the tape because it can clogged up. I use the one from home depot called: thread sealant with teflon. Make sure it says teflon on it. Teflon protect your thread. Or use Permatex thread sealant with teflon.
