what causes this to happen? i want to fix this..it will idle low then drop causing the car to shake and bounce up about 500 rpm. lmk. thanks
what does it idle at normally ( as in when the a/c is off) ? you will notice a drop in rpms when the a/c is on due to the amount of power it needs.

it shouldn't be that low though.......the ecu should compensate for the power that the AC takes......

It idles normal but when the A/C is on it idles lower causing rough idle.

it does that in my car when the car is in park. the rpm's rise a little and fall. its very normal in 4cyl cars that don't have alot of lowend power. its another reason i seldom use mine when sitting in traffic, well that and the weather isn't too bad in utah. plus, you don't get good airflow thru the radiator when sitting idle.
