Default VAFC installed, and it aint easy

since i believe my car is running lean i went out and bought one for a damn good price to increase fuel and richen things up...i thought i would increase fuel in some places but now that i see that SGT says the VAFC cant do that i feel like an idiot..but it LOOKS kool as hell! installing is a BIOTCH though....so many damn little wires all twisted up..i accidently spliced into the wrong one and started her up and she didnt like what i had done, turned out i didnt have the RPM wire like i thought..but i just fixed it and now its running good again. for u guys thinking of doing the install urself or buying one, TAKE UR TIME AND MAKE SURE U HAVE THE RIGHT WIRES BEFORE YOU CUT!...thanks go out to Lax R Man for (sometimes) holding that light steady..

I doubt you were running lean with those mods. You could have had it dynoed with a wideband O2 before buying, I think you were running 12.5:1 a/f at most.. probably richer. But yeah, the VAFC is a PITA to install, lots of wires

With a JDM and Intake, between x-over and 7100ish, he most likely was running in the high 13's to low 14's...........

Really? I've never seen an R wideband with a JDM 4-1, all the normal I/H/E R's i've seen have still been helllllllaaaa rich. oh well. We'll see what my crappy gs-r does with the jdm 4-1 and aem soon. hopefully a lot leaner than it currently runs

Sure you can, that's what the positive adjustments are for. Obviously if you're running your injectors at full duty cycles already then adjusting the VAFC to be richer won't acomplish anything. I'm pretty sure that's what he meant when he said you can't do that. The VAFC allows for + or - 20% correction in either direction.
