Default Blow off sound with automatics???

Okay, since the BOV is controlled by the throttle will it go off every gear for an automatic? Does the throttle position change between shifts via the computer?

no, the bov only goes off when you let off the gas. That's how it was on my civic when it was still automatic.

Nope, it holds boost through the gears and you only hear the whoosh when you let off at the end.

Get a car with a manual transmission.

I already invested too much on this one. I also have a manual civic but I much rather drive my auto around town.

Too bad honda auto trannies suck for racing. I love rowing the gears in a 5-speed, but you're just soo much more consistent with an auto and it's a lot better for traffic jams, especially if you have a heavy clutch.

I'm hoping the level ten PTS kit and torque converter will help that out.

i would say swap to a manual b/c you will probably spend as much money on the level ten stuff for your auto. i have an auto turbo and i want a five speed already.

The auto wont last forever, I've been turbo automatic since the spring(tranny swap in the works) and I can tell you that the tranny will complain after a while Although I am confident mine would have lasted me until next spring if I didnt swap it by then.
I know of one thats boostin low psi on an IHI turbo that has been lasting for about 2 years but if you like to drive spiritedly you will put increased wear on the transmission. Its fun but dont plan on it lasting forever. Plus you will HATE the long *** gearing of the automagic.

Thank you guys for all the input, but I really like my auto and I'm going to stick with it. I'll extend it's life with the level 10 setup. I'm not a hard driver. I usually like to zip around in traffic. I rarely ever take off from a stop.

Do a little research about the weaknesses of valve bodies in a honda slushbox if you have not already, and see how many companies upgrade them
