what kind of ACT kit do you need for greedy turbo on gsr and how much is install?
get an ACT extreme pressure plate with organic street disk. the kit alone should be about $330. $270 isnt to bad for installation considering the amount of work needed. I'd probably charge someone $200 if I were to do it but a shop of course will charge a tad more.
get a clutchmaster stage III, it will be great. its a street and strip and can hold up to 300ft/lbs of torque. they are better than ACT. but if you want an ACT, landspeed racing has a sale on those. i think they are $219 versus the close to 500 that you will spend on the clutchmaster.
actually the extreme isnt very stiff. I drive my car everyday in traffic and it's not really a problem, if you're scared you can get the Heavy duty, that should hold the power of a stock motor with a turbo kit, but the extreme really isnt that stiff. I've heard of some problems with Clutchmasters. One of my friends tore the rivets out of the disk on his Stage 5.
get the ACT HEAVY DUTY. its whut u want... i commute alot and i have it on my car now. i used to have an xtreme. swapped it out for a heavy duty. all the other clutches are ok... but i rather go with a name brand that is guranteed to work.
I have the greddy kit with ACT heavy duty plate and street disc and used HONDA bearings. ACT pretty much held up most of the power i need (at least on an untuned car). The pedal pressure is about 15% more than stock. Great for day to day drive.
I have a GSR with greddy turbo kit and I have a ACT 'XTSS' clutch kit. Great for everyday and ripping the 1/4.
