Default Re: Clutchnet clutch questions (Turbo_Siii)

Ben@Importparts will sell you one for $300 any stage. I've had one on my boosted CRX for over 2 years now. The stage 2 handled any amount of power that my DRAG turbo kit would push out. Grips like a sonuvabitch, but the engagement can be rough or chattery every once in a while. My stage 2 was streetable, i've gone up to a stage 4 over the winter months but haven't had a chance to test it out.

My recent clutchnet experience: I got a CN stage 2 from importparts.com, had my mechanic install it, and the pressure plate did not disengage the entire friction disk - you can see the wear marks on the pressure plate where it wasn't releasing fully. So I had to scramble to find ANOTHER clutch locally, had to pay 2 x the labor for the removal and reinstallation. Car was out of commission for 5 days, and I got socked for over $1600 for labor and two clutches. Never again will I use clutchnet.

edit: wording was a bit harsh, changed it
