Vafc question- Vti, VTo?
i was simply browsing through my Vafc's features.. and i stumbled across the VTi and Vto option..... This was in the MONITOR setting and it says it both VTi and Vto was OFF.. i just wanted to know whether the VTi and Vto is suposed to be on or off... thanks
vto only turns on when u engage into vtec...........right at the switchover it shud display ON try it for yourself i dunno about VTi
vti is where u can adjust the vtec
example
lo-hi 5700
hi-lo 5600
from what i was told please tell me if i am wrong , the low vtec cam opens under a certain rpm for example 5600 , the lo-hi xover is when the high profile vtec cam kicks in for example 5700
you can move the vtec up and down , i believe stock is around 4400 on a stock gsr ecu ,but the best way to adjust it is tune it on a dyno

dunno. trying to figure it out myself.. but what im trying to find out is.... On stock settings.... would the VTi be "ON" or "OFF"? currently when the car is idleing the VTi says its "OFF". The reason why im asking this is b/c i was afraid that i might of accidently pressed something that i wasnt suposed to.. and that was the reason why the VTi and VTo is "OFF" position.
So far what i understand is. VTo will only say "ON" when vtec is engaged...
so now what im trying to find out is... is that the same with the VTi?...

looks like you got the vto and vti on the monitor , here is a quick test take your car to up to 6,000 rpms vtec should engage and both should say on , vti turns on when vtec engages , i havent messed with my vto

set them to 4300/4200 or something around there.
on the dyno you'll see where your power curve dips and you can adjust vtec accordingly.
easy as cake, and fat free too!
