95 RS brake pads
Ive searched the archive...
I want to replace my pads and was considering the AEM's, but every place online to order them says...
"94-00 integra EXCEPT RS"...
Why, I thought they were the same (RS/LS/GS)
I need new ones ASAP... so if anyone knows this info, and can beat $89.00 for all 4 corners... PLEASE LET ME KNOW

i believe the reason aem says except rs is becaue, the rs does not have abs but the ls, gs does,
im running stocks in the rear and axxis in the front, but i would not recomend the axxis, my friend is running hawks on the front and he loves them, hope this helps

the aem pads for the ls, gs will not fit the rs
you have to find pads specfically for the rs, as far as i know aem does not make them, if it is true that they are using nissin pads, they are the stocks, im not sure if they use a different compound
what setup are you using right now? if you're just stock rotors, pads, lines, calipers, then i really don't think that just upgrading the pads will help that much
if you have a little extra money, the setup im running is powerslot rotors(about$200) front and rear, w/ neuspeed lines($150), stock pads rear($55), and i will soon be getting the hawk pads ($?)for the front, the car stops noticibly quicker now
take a look at http://www.inlinefour.com and http://www.ahmotor.com for some of the parts, hope thins helps

I suspect they are the same since the size is the same. I know the size is the same cause all Integras use the same Hawk pads from 94-2001.
$150 for SS lines?
We sell the Hawk HPS pad for $51 front. THe AEM rear pads for $40 , the Goodridge SS lines for $99 and colletti Motorsports sells rotors so cheap I send customers there. They sell brembo blanks for $28 each.

well every place i have looked at the aem pads say "except RS" so there must be some reason that aem does this, as for the hawk pads i don't know i haven't really reserched them
the ss lines were for the teflon coated ss neuspeed lines, yes i know thye are alittle more expensive, i was looking at the goodridge lines, order them waited for a month and never recieved them, so i was in a bind to get something, sorry i acted on my personal experience
as for the brembo blanks, go for them their cheep, but i personally like my sloted rotors which i believe(and don't quote me on this) but they are brembo blanks with slots cut in them and then coated with a compound to keep them from rusting
so in the end its your decision, i agree with the hawk pads, thats a good price, and same thing with the ss lines their good, so its up to you if you need (or have $ for) new rotors and if you want to pay about $120 for the blanks, or about $220 for the slots, good luck

Teflon coated is a good idea but there is a company called Technica (I think) that sells theirs for similar prices to Goodridge (maybe less). I sell Neuspeed just think they over sprice some things.
The AEM application does say EXCEPT RS. I will call AEM and see why. Best guess I have heard so far is something to do with ABS but the pad size is the same. Hawk Front pads cost less and stop better and work for an RS so that is an easy one anyway.
I have used slotted rotors (Comptech at that) and feel that they do not help in stopping on an Auto-X or street car. The do decrease brake fade on the track but are of little use otherwise. (They do look really nice though). I would only replace the front rotors unless there is something very wrong with the rears as they are most likely fine. That will save you a large bit as well.

Thanks Carlex...
I called two local shops in my area today and they said it is because of the ABS-vs.-NO ABS... but that they "should" still work.
If the hawks are better... who can hook me up with all 4 sets? Please send me an e-mail if you can.

I'm considering Hawks but I feel that they are too aggressive for a daily driven car. Whatever pad I get, I'll put them on Brembo OEs (highly suggested over anything elsein the price range). I guess that I'm starting to sway from EBC b/c many hate them.
Is Hawk the only pad (besides stock) that people will recommend? Would a Hawk/AEM combo cause strange brake characteristics?
thanks

i do believe the pads from ahmotor are the stocks
as for the hawk pads for the street i think they will work good, my friend has them on his jetta with powerstop rotors and they work well, they squeel a little bit when they are warming up, but in spirited driving they heat up fast and stop good
it does look like a good number of people are running hawk pads, i don't know of any others to recomend though i wouldn't recomed getting the axxis pads, they dont grip much better than stocks, if at all, and they put out 10x more dust than stocks, i gota tell you it sucks on white wheels
good luck, let us know if you find some thing that works better
