Default ZC Tranny Hops back and forth HELP!!

Hey guys, When i drove the crx today, everytime i shifted and let go of the gas or clutch the shifter would jump a lil up and down or back and forth in a stiff motion? I'm not sure if i can explain this correctly but pretty much the shifter is hopping back and forth about half an inch when I execute the complete shift into a new gear.

Also how can i tell if my tranny is a ZC tranny? PLEASE HELP!!

if i follow what your are saying, it sounds like one or more of your tranny mounts are broken/worn.

as for IDing your tranny, i know there is a post about IDing the Si tranny, but i don't think i have seen on for a ZC tranny...

Take the tranny apart and count the teeth on the gears. The Final Drive on a jdm ZC tranny is 3.88 : 1(same as DX). But gears 1-5 are shorter. Basically, count the teeth on the 6 pairs of gears that mesh together and divide the two numbers(bigger divided by smaller, except for 5th). Results should be: http://www.hondaswap.com/refer...id=65 I know it sounds like a pain, but my tranny was hand-marked "SOHC ZC", and by using this method, I was able to tell it's really an Si tranny because of the 4.25 final drive (68/16 teeth=4.25).

Oh, and I second the motion for broken tranny mounts. Check the front one first.
