Need knowledge about suspension
I am a new guy in the import scene and need info about suspension..
I have a 2000 itr GSR,
I am shopping for shocks or "coil-overs" I am not sure what are coil-overs?
I know shocks and springs.
So do the shocks all have oil or some content that inside for damping.
I see lots of suspension sets with the height adjusting shock and theres no oil inside and springs. not sure what else I will need if I get them.
I see shocks that are sealed already and not adjustable.. just need info before i go wrong.

do u have an itr or gsr...
just asking cause i saw u put that u have a 2000 itr gsr..its one or the other...
as far as suspension
coil overs allow u to raise or lower your car..
koni yellows (shocks) have several perches on them that allow you to set springs on different perches to also adjust ride height..
adjustable shocks control your dampening affects..
non adjustable shocks are self explanatory...
thats a general idea..
hope that helped in some way..

All shocks use oil (or some similar viscous liquid) to dampen the movements of the shock rod/piston. This is how they dampen the oscillations of the spring.
"Coil-overs" refer to a matched set of springs/shocks. They are usually height adjustable. Many people also call a height adjustable sleeved spring (like Ground Controls) "coilovers".
