is my friend a dumbass?
like it says.... my friend has a 92 civic dx hatch with the stock d15b7 motor in it. it has 250,000 miles on it and he's already been through 3 bottles of nitrous. now he's wanting to put a greddy turbo kit and the bottle on it. he's a morron for doing this?
250,000 is quite a bit. i wouldn't do it. better yet...the engine is hella old, use the greddy turbo kit money and do a swap, that's the thing that'd make sense to me. what if his engine blew with the greddy....then he'll have a nice greddy turb and no motor...
Hehe...yeah, that and a CR-VTEC would probably be faster than that POS motor with a baby turbocharger stuck to it.
3 bottles though...that's nothing. I used to get mine filled every couple of weeks...but that was when it was "cheap"

D15B7 = $200, and an afternoon's work to swap out. ****, I ran the old high mileage B18A w/ broken ring lands for a few thousand miles because making other ppl eat my oil smoke was amusing.
I think it's a great idea. He strips the car out to lose weight, runs enough boost to get an honest 180 whp, and it would be an OK sleeper. He'd be in a fun area powerwise where he wouldn't know how most the races he gets will turn out... he'd eat stuff that surprises him and lose to stuff that surprises him.
