a/v idiot....can I power a tv?
Ok, sorry for the retarded question, i have ZERO experience in this type of stuff.
is there anyway to power a normal tv, say a 15" , multiple batteries or something like that? i dont want to use a generator, it would be mostly for use when the car is running occasioanlly for maybe 30 minutes with the car off.
any ideas?
TIA

Like VTECorona said,
You need to get a power inverter with no less than 300W.
The power inverter looks like a little amp. It has a 12V input that can be hooked up to the cigarrete lighter or directly to the car battery with aligator clips. On the other side you have at least one or two AC outlets like the ones you have on the walls of your home. There are so many brands who make them and many capacities and colors. Check your local electronic shop, hardware store, and even some department stores have them.
Good luck!

Well most conversion vans are equipped with 12 volt tv whether they be tube or tft. If your tv is 110 volt you will have to use an inverter of around 4-500 watts for a 15" tv.
