Man, do I like your sense of humour.

I would be interested in trying that, however, I am not so well versed in pressurized powerplants. For example, I suspect there is a potential problem with blowby, yet I am unsure as to how to over come that. I am also aware that boost and high compression ratios are not always good friends, yet with careful tuning and good fuel/spark management you should be able to get away with it.

I am really more curious to see how far one can go; or how far anyone else has gone.

I didn't know you were a pressurized kind of guy Steve...

sounds risky. 10:1 CR is already considered high for FI. I guess you can drive around on race gas.

I'm a turbo guy. Not too big on the roots type blowers.

type r already have problems with 10.6 and the JRSC.

I would say that you are pretty far down the N/A path i would stay there or redo the engine with lower compression.

think outside of the box!

go to http://www.theoldone.com ask some questions, they are pretty versed with high CR and FI.

yeah... just like someone else mentioned, you are already deep into the N/A route. That CR is a little high for the SC.

Is it the compression of the ITR that made it not always succesful with the kit? Isn't it because of the fatty fuel dump in the top end?

I emailed the guy at Hondata with this scenario. He felt that the Hondata has enough resolution to support a setup of this nature.

This is interesting because the primary reason why people go to lower compression to exact the most out of there pressurized systems is due to the fact that stock ecus and piggy back electronics do not give one enough control (spark and fuel) to avoid deteonation.

Secondary reasoning is cost. Case in point: Top Fuel turbo kit. Big bucks.

It would be an interesting project that I am entertaining.

Thanks for the feedback.

I personally can't imagine running a non-intercooled FI setup at that kind of compression ratio. Rule one for keeping detonation at bay is keep temperatures down, and the JRSC is not the solution there. Think turbo or vortech.
