Default Code 80 - Insufficient EGR Flow

Okay Peeps ... my car threw a code 80, for insufficient EGR Flow. I had the EGR Valve assembly replaced about two weeks ago, and a day later the Code came back on. What else can I check without taking my car in (I should have done the Assembly myself).

Thanks.

Clean the carbon build-up off the ports with some Carb Spray and Pipe Cleaners (Or tooth picks)..

I should have elaborated .... that was done prior to the EGR Assembly being replaced.. There wasn't much carbon buildup.

Get a Helms and go through the troubleshooting procedure. There's a few other things that control the EGR valve (vacuum tubes, a solenoid, etc). Sometimes you can find the Helms manuals in libraries as well.

Have you checked the EGR solenoid valve?
