Is it stupid that i want to take a sawzall to a Wagovan and make a truck out of it?
I mean think about it... no roof... truck bed... after i do a ZC swap I could drop my Si motor in it... how is this not genious?
Seriously, a friend and i used to have a white '91 Wagovan.
This guy we know gave it to us for free, his sister used it for a playhouse in his back yard...
it had a milk crate for a front seat and everything.
We wrenched on it for like a week, made it run for a day and sold it to a local shop for $400.
I guess they thought they could make it worth something, i don't know...
Well my friend talked to the guy the other day and it's just been sitting there...
Offered him like $40 for it and i think it might happen!
What do you guys think? At least it's a cool project name right?

That's mean... I'm not planning on making this a serious project, i just think it would be funny...
Just picture it... it would be so stupid looking... so awesome!

well, considering I just did that with a spare 4th gen hatch I had laying around, I say go for it! My friend and I did it so we can haul engines more easily as we don't have a truck, but now we do!!! I'll take some pics of it soon and post em up, but for now, here's a photo chop of what we did:

At least they did it to a rusted out chassis... Those are rare around here, and I'm sure there's a few straight chassis Vic's with the tops cut off.
Poor ED's.

Well... mainly buying that car will give us some practice with a motor swap (putting my si motor in it after i do a zc swap) and playing around with body work and stuff like that.
My friend has the idea of making a civic "dragovan" out of it... he wants to completely strip the interior and just put in a fiberglass race bucket. It would still just be for fun... We are gonna slam it with some lowering springs that were on my crx...
But he seems to think that cutting off the roof is a stupid idea... I just wondered if i was crazy or what.
And yeah... we were gonna weld the back doors shut anyway... even if we didn't cut off the roof. Make some strut tower bars and stuff.
Trust me... we don't plan on spending any money on this thing... we'll make all of the performance parts we will ever use. If we can't make it for that car... we don't need it 'cause i'm sure not gonna be spending money on this!
